Karon Beach is the 2nd largest tourist beach in Phuket, the white and sandy beach squeaks audibly when walk on. There is a regular daytime bus service to and from Phuket Town at about 30 minutes drive. Karon is a fast growing area, offers a full range of tourist facilities, dining and activities. Many large hotels and resorts line on the road behind of the shoreline. The road between Kata and Karon has a number of small businesses as well as the Dino Park Mini Golf facillity.

The southern point of Karon Beach has a fine coral reef stretching toward Kata and Pu Island. In the high season, the water is shallow suitable for swimming. The renting chairs and umbrellas services are available.
