Rawai Beach Rawai area is famous for Promthep Cape viewpoint and a Sea Gypsy village. The main beach is not good for swimming, but favourite and ferfect with the locals to seafood barbecue at the weekend as many asuarina tree lined esplanade. The beach is also used by many fishermen who live in this area.

Also, Rawai Beach is a launching point for day boat excursions out to Phuket's surrounding islands. When you arrange a trip to Coral Island, Koh Lone and Racha Island, or fishing and snorkeling trips, many longtail boats and speed boats are available at its shores for hire.

Nowadays Rawai is place to two five star resorts, Evason Resort and Mangosteen Hotel.
